It's hard to believe that we are already in the February month of 2008. February is one of my favorite months, the love month. Valentines Day, my birthday, and Brady and I got engaged in February...what more could you ask for in a month?
Brady and I have been keeping busy, that’s for sure. Brady is working full time while going to school and I am taking one class this semester. I have 15 credits left to finish before I graduate, I'm so close yet so far. I will be taking 1 or 2 classes per semester so I won't actually be done until either December of this year or April 2009. It's a lot of work to be in school while taking care of Spencer, but it’s so worth it. I've worked so hard to get here and I'm not giving up now. Soon I will be able to say that I'm a graduate from BYU, one of my life long dreams. Someday I hope to get a masters degree. I love education and I plan to acquire as much knowledge as I can.
Spencer is 6 months old now, they grow up so fast. He is just as adorable as ever, actually he is even more adorable. He laughs and smiles so much, it’s so fun. He is making all kinds of fun noises as well as trying to imitate Brady and me. If we stick our tongue out he will stick his tongue out, I love it. It's so interesting to watch a baby explore the world around them. He is learning and growing so quickly before we know it he will be walking and talking. We started giving him baby cereal the day he turned 6 months. He loves it. He loves the highchair (it brings a new perspective) as well as trying to grab the spoon as it enters his mouth. Side note: I'm getting a camera for my birthday, so once that comes I will be taking a million pictures.
Spencer is on a good schedule now; he takes really good naps during the day and sleeps really well during the night. I am so grateful that I was able to get him on a good sleep schedule without letting him "Cry It Out". As many of you know or may learn there are many theories out there when it comes to raising children. I believe in following your heart and the spirit when it comes to your children. You and your husband know what is best. With that said, I have never felt right about letting Spencer cry for a long time until he falls asleep, it just breaks my heart. (Side note: I'm not putting down anyone who does use the CIO method; it's just not for me). Well, with much patience I can now lay Spencer in his crib when I know he is ready for a nap. He will play in there for a couple of minutes and then fall asleep. He knows his mommy is there for him and I love that!
I love Brady and Spencer with all of my heart. I'm so grateful for the family I have. Even though life can be a bit hectic at times I love the opportunity I have been given to be a wife and a mother. With all the whispers of love that are floating in this February air I want to add my many whispers of love about my family and friends; may you all feel loved in this heart full month.

I totally understand about the "CIO" method not being for you! You have to do what works for you! Maybe I'll have to get some pointers from you once this little baby gets here!! ha ha!
