Expanding Our Family

I am beyond thrilled that we are expecting a baby! Well I shouldn’t just say “I’m” excited because Brady is also, and once Spencer understands what is going on he will be excited too. For awhile Brady and I were contemplating when to expand our family. There are so many different factors one must consider when thinking about having a baby. Brady and I have always felt strongly about when we should start our family and what specific factors should be considered and what factors shouldn’t be taken into consideration. Brady is so sweet when it comes to making the decision to have children. He knows how difficult pregnancy is on me, both physically and emotionally. He has told me from the beginning that the decision of when to have children will ultimately fall upon me. Many of you may know that Brady is always willing to have children, he jokes about having 12 children (not going to happen in this life babe, sorry). While he loves the idea of a big family, he also knows that the role a women plays in baring children is a huge sacrifice and often times burdensome (although quite worth the effort). I feel so blessed to have such a faithful husband who knows I will make the right choices for our family.

When we found out the incredible news we couldn’t help but be ecstatic. The timing is absolutely perfect for our family! I love being a mom and I’m so excited for the chance we will have to bring another bundle into our family. Although our means and resources are limited right now, and some may think we are crazy for having a second baby while Brady is still in school…we know the timing is right for our family. It is a big decision to bring children into this world and we know we will be blessed for the decisions we have made for our family. I can’t wait to meet our next child, but alas I must. I’m particularly excited for Spencer to have a sibling; he is going to be such a great big brother!

I will keep all of you updated on my pregnancy as time goes on, with pictures once I have the baby bump. I have my first doctor’s appointment on June 3 and I can’t wait! here’s to many days to come filled with baby dreaming and this so called “morning” sickness ...
